WHAT WE DO

Purpose in Pain Foundation was created to help young people find their purpose through all the pain and questions in life. Our mission is to create positive business and spiritual mindsets in today’s youth to reduce suicides, gang members, and youth entering prison. One way we do this is through a positive affirmation character named Reggie The Lion.  He is a plush toy of a lion who speaks positive affirmations and fills children’s minds with positive thinking and strong beliefs.  We provide assistance though emotional support programs, spiritual wellness, life coaching, and business coaching services. We believe that building a life centered around wholeness will help others to become more productive in their personal life and career pathways.

Your Pain Does Not Define Who You Are

WHO ARE OUR RECIPIENTS

We work with young children who may be suffering with trauma and living with life-scarring experiences. This includes children of low-income families living in poverty; living in homes where domestic violence occurs; having one or both parents incarcerated; or children dealing with a life-threatening health condition.

WHY ARE WE WORTHY OF CHARITABLE GIVING

Beginning in infancy, lower social class children are more likely to have strong, frequent, or prolonged exposure to major traumatic events that induce a stress response. The lowest-income children are more likely to be exposed to frightening or threatening experiences than other children. Continued exposure leads to academic, behavioral and health problems. Such was the case for the founder of Purpose in Pain Foundation, Reginald Foreman. Mr. Foreman overcame a life of abuse, violence, sorrow, and crime to become a published author and renowned speaker. Knowing full well the effects of prolonged trauma and toxic stress, Mr. Foreman founded Purpose in Pain Foundation to create a brighter tomorrow for those in need.

WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP

Trauma and toxic stress can be best reduced by a protective neighborhood, family, or school conditions, as these offer children the ability to respond constructively to emotions and to manage behavior in response to frightening or threatening events. For children of low-income families, this option is not available. New and effective means must be offered to give hope, encouragement, and empowerment to this population. Reggie the Lion does that. Parents, educators, and mental health professionals have all seen the positive effects of this affirmation character and believe it speaks bold encouragement to young children.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE ACHIEVE OUR FINANCIAL GOALS

It is the long-term vision for Purpose in Pain Foundation to have Reggie the Lion become a global household personality, always instilling purpose, faith, and confidence in young children to empower them. This includes the plush toy/doll, books, cartoons, films, a tech application experience, a fashion line, and a mentorship program.
